Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of consumption spending, investment, export, and volatility on economic growth in Indonesia. This study used quarterly time series data covering consumption spending, investment, and GDP as a proxy for economic growth. The time series data span from the first quarter of year 2000 to the fourth quarter of year 2013. The results of EGARCH-M test show that consumption spending, export and volatility have effect on Indonesia’s economic growth Indonesia, whereas investment does not affect the economic growth.
